The King's Warden

Overview

In a secluded mountain village during 15th-century Joseon, the modest village headman Heung-do catches wind of a rumor: any community that shelters a banished nobleman will be showered with wealth and good fortune. Yearning to lift his struggling people out of poverty, he hastily sends a request to host such a guest—never realizing the exiled figure is none other than the deposed boy-king Danjong himself.
