Overview

In 1948, customs officer Mehti is tasked with officially marking the border between Turkey and Syria—a line that cuts straight through his own hometown. He has no idea how deeply the divide will wound everyone he knows. Families, languages, and cultures are torn apart, and lovers find themselves on opposite sides of a frontier that was never there before. A village that once lived as one now faces the collision of separation and sorrow.
